Feeding Tampa Bay's Mission
Food has always been at the heart of Feeding Tampa Bay’s mission—and for good reason. Nearly one million people come through their doors each year, drawn by the simple but powerful need for a meal. Food gives children the energy to learn, helps seniors stay healthy, and gives families a sense of stability when times are tough. Even though a meal can make a big difference, Feeding Tampa Bay understands it’s just the first step. The organization continues to grow and expand its services because breaking the cycle of hunger takes more than food—it takes opportunity, support, and community.
Feeding Tampa Bay’s reach extends across 10 counties in West Central Florida, where it partners with more than 400 local charities and food pantries to fight hunger on a regional scale. In the past year alone, the organization provided an incredible 87 million meals to families in need. Yet, the challenge remains urgent—1 in 4 children in the area still face hunger. These numbers serve as a powerful reminder of why Feeding Tampa Bay’s mission matters: to ensure every neighbor has consistent access to nutritious, reliable meals and the resources needed to build a better future.
Tackling the Root Causes of Hunger
Food insecurity often goes hand in hand with other struggles, like housing challenges, medical conditions, or trouble finding reliable work. Feeding Tampa Bay takes a big-picture approach, aiming to meet people where they are and help them make progress. Their goal is to create a one-stop space where someone can not only get a meal, but also access benefits assistance, basic health care, job training, and educational resources. It’s about more than surviving, it’s about helping people thrive.
The Impact of Volunteering
One of the most inspiring aspects of Feeding Tampa Bay is how much the organization relies on volunteers to make its mission possible. Whether sorting goods in the warehouse, helping distribute food from the “Groceries on the Go” truck, or serving meals directly, every hour volunteered creates a meaningful impact. Even a single hour of service can generate countless meals for local families. It’s a powerful way for community members to give back and witness firsthand how something as simple as food can lift spirits and bring hope to someone’s day.

Transform Solar’s Commitment to Giving Back
Trinity Cafe is a standout part of Feeding Tampa Bay’s outreach efforts. Guests are served hot, nutritious meals in a welcoming, restaurant-style setting where volunteers take on roles as servers, hosts, and table attendants. The focus is not only on providing food but also on fostering dignity and human connection. Some volunteers assist with the outdoor drive-thru distribution, helping ensure that meals reach as many people as possible. Every plate served comes with kindness, respect, and a genuine sense of community.
Giving back to the community is a core value at Transform Solar. The team volunteers regularly at Trinity Cafe, and it has become an experience they genuinely look forward to each week. Volunteering offers a chance to step outside their everyday work and make a hands-on difference in people’s lives. Seeing the smiles, gratitude, and hope that a meal can bring is deeply rewarding. Transform Solar encourages others—individuals, families, and businesses alike—to get involved, volunteer, and help create meaningful change within their communities.
